Often seeking advice from a health care professional can be helpful, I can offer one to one sessions with you and your child at a healthcare venue or in the privacy of your own home.

Many parents experiences problems around mealtimes with their children, myself included! Most children will go through phases of refusing to eat and being ‘fussy’ eaters. It is often a normal part of growing up. It can be your child’s way of showing independence. However, it can be very worrying and stressful for parents.

The first session will be an information-gathering session and identifying the problem.

I will ask you to observe your child at meal times and keep a diary to records what happens each day such as;

  • How much is my child eating and drinking in 24 hours?
  • What kinds of snacks does my child have in between meals?
  • Do we all have a mealtime routine, (e.g. all sitting around the table together)?

At the second session we will focus on how you could do things differently and what you can do to help the situation.

Each session will be different, focusing on the environment and routine, making mealtime’s fun and making sure the family are supporting you with these changes. Every session will be fun, informative and informal and I like to encourage you and your child to participate.

I recommend one weekly hour session for a period of eight weeks, or if you feel you need less or more we can be flexible, it’s about you deciding when you feel that you are happy with any visible changes taking place! I hope this gives you an idea of how I can help you with your child’s fussy eating.

Please feel free to contact me by email or phone.
